The Melkweg plays host to the full spectrum of contemporary music. Hip hop, dance, metal, reggae and K-Pop all have their own version of this Amsterdam landmark. The challenge for its new identity was uniting these disparate subcultures in one style. We rooted it in a custom typeface raw enough to reflect the venue’s industrial, independent character, and abstract enough to suit everyone who calls the Melkweg home for a night.
